Not a blog more like another pier banyan tree, a place to come & sit for a little while & wait for something fun to happen. A place for all the greezers, candyasses, Halloween egg throwers, former Publix bagboys & dirt bike riders to kill a little time until Halloween. Just like the good old days, wait around for a couple hours until you could find some geezer to buy you beer...
R.I.P. Aubrey. The "Good Ol Days" are slowly coming to an end...................
ReplyDeleteRIP Sheriff. Truly one of the good guys. Always treated everyone fairly and with respect. We could use a few more like him now a days.
ReplyDeleteI was good friends with Susan, so when I was a teenager, I hung out at Sheriff Rogers’ house a lot. It was always a pleasant place to be and even if there were a bunch of squealing teenage girls laughing and playing loud music, Mr. Rogers never seemed to mind. Always soft spoken and a smile for all.
ReplyDeleteMy folks would see him from time to time in NC where they had a home. My father always spoke highly of Aubrey and considered him a good friend of the family.
Susan was my maid of honor at my wedding and although I’ve lost touch with the family over the years I would like Susan to know that I extend my sincerest condolences.
Rest in the peace that you so rightly deserve, Aubrey Rogers.
