Not a blog more like another pier banyan tree, a place to come & sit for a little while & wait for something fun to happen. A place for all the greezers, candyasses, Halloween egg throwers, former Publix bagboys & dirt bike riders to kill a little time until Halloween. Just like the good old days, wait around for a couple hours until you could find some geezer to buy you beer...

Great shot of "The Old Naples Hotel” too!
ReplyDeleteOn the lower left edge, just above R and R Robinson Interiors, you can see the drained swimming pool located behind the hotel's "Seminole Room". I still have a bump and scar on the back of my head from the winter of 1958 when, while vacationing there with my parents, I was showing off and caught the edge of the diving board on the way down!
I see J. W. Dyches Realty at the corner of Broad and Third, with the McLenon house 2 lots to the west. The "Seminole Market" on Third Street with new construction just starting . . . .
Man what a trip this area was before the developers took over.
I've heard that if you visit this neighborhood right around daybreak you can still feel the spirit of "The Real Naples".
