Not a blog more like another pier banyan tree, a place to come & sit for a little while & wait for something fun to happen. A place for all the greezers, candyasses, Halloween egg throwers, former Publix bagboys & dirt bike riders to kill a little time until Halloween. Just like the good old days, wait around for a couple hours until you could find some geezer to buy you beer...

Hi there...
ReplyDeleteI was a cablevision Cameraman on the 6 and 11 pm local News...
With Gene Ebert as anchor man, John Joyce and Joan Davis as reporters, John Robinson on weather...Mcdonalds quarters the new Sears Store was the talk of the Day....Any one know where these people are now..??

Good question. I have no idea where those people might be now. I had almost forgotten about those local cable news casts. I remember Joe Klimas doing the sports and the weather man at the time was some older man I can't remember his name anymore.
ReplyDeleteLooking at this picture reminds me what a shame it was that they ever tore down the hold hotel. Think what a landmark that could be today if they would have kept it and resotred it. We always seemed to be in such a rush to tear everything down in the name of progress.
Like letting a restaurant rehab one of the only old buildings on Third. Such a shame.
