Not a blog more like another pier banyan tree, a place to come & sit for a little while & wait for something fun to happen. A place for all the greezers, candyasses, Halloween egg throwers, former Publix bagboys & dirt bike riders to kill a little time until Halloween. Just like the good old days, wait around for a couple hours until you could find some geezer to buy you beer...
I think Ol' Brookside is trying to fry my brain with this one. How about I just mention that lined up left to right on Tamiami Trail East starting at 10th St. S. are:
ReplyDeleteChris-Tal Market, Hertz Rent-a-Car, Baroni's Restaurant, and Naples Federal Savings and Loan Association. For the record (in my world at least) 5th Avenue South assumed the identity of “The East Trail” where US Highway 41 turns left at 4-corners.
Miami 108 Miles.
It’s kind of cool seeing the “end of the line” of the “Seaboard Coast Line” tracks. The longest track actually had a big bumper that came right up to the edge of the sidewalk at 41. The other, shorter track on the left, ended just shy of “Tamiami Tire Supply”, owned by Bill Humphrey (John’s dad).
