Just a lovely place to hangout when you're 16 by far much better than sleeping in the swamp with the Junior Deputy's.....
Gee Mr. Rogers you swear Okeechobee Boy's School is really better than these weekly visits?

It looks a hotel compared to the detention home I was placed in. Nice hurricane shutters!
ReplyDeleteMy mother thought YOUTH HAVEN was more of threat than the Colleier County Sheriff's jail.
ReplyDeleteSomewhere in my boxed and stored past, I have a photo of the place when they were dismantling it for renovations, etc. Outer walls were partially removed and you could see inside cells, etc. One day soon I will try to find some digging time and see if I can find it...
