Interesting in this photo Central Mall (before Bayfront) under construction & Naples Redi-Mix concrete plant ran by "Redi-Mix Richie" Yannaco.

  1. OK, who’s gonna chime in and tell me what year Goodlette Road actually got as far as 41?

I am of the memory that until at least the mid 1960’s, the southern end was just south of Lake Park School near the site of the “new” post office.

  2. Don't have an answer to the Goodlette Rd. Question. But would like to add that in the bottom lower right (North West of the Fish House) was Naples Redi Mix, north side of the Trail. Owned by Richie Yanaco.

  3. My grandfather and father owned the boat yard there across the bay from the Fish House Dining Room, then it was Guye E. Daniels and Son Boat way. What memories that picture brings back. My family built that boat yard in 1949 and ran it until the middle '60's. My mom started working as a waitress at the Fish House 2 weeks before they first opened in '54. My dad built all of the glass top tables in there and my brother and I put the shells in the pillers in the dining room while the plaster was still wet. We certainly had a lot of fun playing around there. No traffic to speak of and all the mangrove snappers you wanted to catch. Thanks for the memories.
