Not a blog more like another pier banyan tree, a place to come & sit for a little while & wait for something fun to happen. A place for all the greezers, candyasses, Halloween egg throwers, former Publix bagboys & dirt bike riders to kill a little time until Halloween. Just like the good old days, wait around for a couple hours until you could find some geezer to buy you beer...
Does anybody recall those weather warning flags that flew at the City Dock flag pole, at the end of 14th Ave. S.?
*Small Craft Warning *Gale Warning *Storm Warning *Hurricane Warning Living in Brookside/Rainbow Cove on Rock Creek as a kid I would take my little 10hp 12' aluminum boat over to the City dock and balk at those flags. Maybe ride the bikes over there during a tropical blow to see them, and then down to the 'The Pier' to see the wave action. Also in this picture you can see the old Collier County News/Naples Daily News building on 14th ave s.
